Our Programs & Classes

Members of a women's gym have many reasons for their interest in this type of facility. Some are drawn to the physical fitness or weight-loss advantages. Others seek to add discipline and self control to their lives.

Whether you are interested in our programs for mental or physical well being, Total Woman Health Studio offers a number of programs that will fit your developmental needs and your busy schedule as well.

Low Impact & Toning
The class includes basic low impacr aerobic moves and combinations, toning exercises using bands and handweights, and abdominal exercises.

Cardio Pump
Cardio Pump - Formally known as Super Body Pump, this class is designed to challenge you to use heavier weights. There are rest periods during each muscle group segment to rest the muscles being worked. During that time we do cardiovascular moves to keep your heart rate up for fat and calorie buring. This class is great for those who are short on time and need to get an all-in-one workout.

ZUMBA
This worldwide format is a fusion of LAtin and internationally inspired music and dance moves creating an exciting and effective aerobic/fitness workout. Whether you know how to dance or not, Zumba will make your body move to the beat, sweat your cares away and keep you coming back for more!

 
Yoga Classes
Yoga Classes
Yoga provides many physical and mental benefits, including improved physical fitness, mental clarity, stress control and general well-being. Yoga also increases strength by toning the muscles. Each class is designed to build the student’s strength and flexibility and inspire peace and tranquility. Yoga class is a place and time to concentrate on yourself, to workout, relax, breathe, and feel all sensations in your body and let go of tension.

Therapy Stretching
This class will focus on stretches for the neck, back and spine.

Kickboxing
with bags & gloves - This is a heartpounding upbeat cardiovascular workout that burns tons of fat. The class includes stretching, shadowboxing, combination drills, lower body conditioning and abdominal work. The 30 minute class includes stretching and combination drills.

 
Group Exercise
Step Classes
Step training is a variation of stair climbing in which a raised platform - or step - is employed to perform a number of routines. These step patterns ensure a high intensity workout - 30% more body fat metabolized than in traditional aerobics. However these are still low impact exercises that place only mild stress on the feet and joints. We offer programs for all fitness levels, join a class today!

Extreme Training*
This class is extremely challenging. Each workout is different so you continue to challenge your muscles and cardiovascular endurance. The class focuses on higth intensity cardio moves along with heavy weight training.

 
Simple Pilates
Simple Pilates*
Toned arms, tight buns, sleek thighs and firm abs - for these we suffer and sweat. With the help of light hand weights we will challenge ourselves with creative body sculpting techniques. We will stand up and then get down on the floor to polish our muscles with balance moves to refine and define. All are welcome!

 
Group Exercise

Do it in a group! The beauty of exercising to music with a group and being led by a group exercise leader is that you tend to work harder and longer than you would on your own. Aerobics
Aerobics
Aerobics is defined as extended activities that make you breathe hard while using the large muscle groups at a regular, even pace. Aerobic activity trains the heart, lungs and cardiovascular system to process and deliver oxygen more quickly and efficiently to every part of the body. Aerobics is also helpful for weight control. An aerobically fit individual can work longer, more vigorously and achieve a quicker recovery at the end of the aerobic session.

BOSU Training
This calss is designed to improve balance by increasing your core strength. This class is for all fitness levels. The class will include cardio along with muscle toning and abdominal exercises - all using the BOSU trainer.

Uniquely blends resistance, interval, power, plyometric, endurance and diet elements into a highly effective HllT program. The R.I.P.P.E.D. format is an athletically-based total body workout which requires the body to respond to constant change.

TRX Suspension Trainer
The TRX suspension trainer develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. You're in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise because you can simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance.

Kettlebells
Kettlebells are used to perform ballistic exercises that combine cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training. The basic movements engage the entire body at once and in a way that mimics real world activities. The unique shape of the kettlebell provides the "unstable force" for handeling - key for the effectiveness of kettlebell exercises.

Benefits of using Kettlebells:

Battling Ropes
